With this quilt, I wanted to explore adapting a well known pattern Blooming Nine Patch by using a panel as the center blocks. The Labrador was surrounded by a black frame and using various cottons depicting natural materials, it made its way from the lake shore to the gravel road. This quilt has extensive custom quilting, a hand sewn binding, and gorgeous craftsmanship.
